JOBS FOR JAGS
Each year the Judge Advocates Association hosts the Jobs for JAGs seminar. This two-day event assists Judge Advocates transitioning from active duty to private sector, corporate, not for profit, or government practice. Panels of top attorneys from federal, state, and local agencies, as well as from private practice and industry share insights and provide tips on finding legal employment. Many of the panelists are former or retired judge advocates, with first-hand knowledge on selling your Judge Advocate experience to potential employers.
This year, Jobs for JAGs will be held 28/29 January 2024.
Transition Programs
The Judge Advocates Association works with multiple other entities to provide educational programs to help JAGs transition to the civilian workforce by focusing on specific practice areas such as in-house counsel and federal government.
